Important Notes

Non Hot-Swappable Interface

  • Power off SP5040 and display device before connecting/disconnecting VGA cables.
  • Hot-plugging may cause current surges, risking interface damage or image abnormalities.

Image Quality

  • VGA transmits analog signals, quality affected by:
    • Cable quality & shielding
    • Cable length (recommended ≤15m)
    • Electromagnetic interference (EMI)
  • Symptoms of excessive length: signal attenuation, blurring, ghosting, color shift.

Resolution & Refresh Rate

  • Supported modes depend on:
    • SP5040 output settings (OS/BIOS)
    • Monitor's maximum capability
  • "Out of Range" or black screen solutions:
    1. Boot into Safe Mode
    2. Use lower resolution/refresh rate
    3. Check legacy monitor limitations (1080p may not be supported)

Maintenance

  • Clean connectors with compressed air or lint-free cloth if experiencing:
    • Flickering display
    • Intermittent signal
  • Always power off devices before cleaning.
