Important Notes
Non Hot-Swappable Interface
- Power off SP5040 and display device before connecting/disconnecting VGA cables.
- Hot-plugging may cause current surges, risking interface damage or image abnormalities.
Image Quality
- VGA transmits analog signals, quality affected by:
- Cable quality & shielding
- Cable length (recommended ≤15m)
- Electromagnetic interference (EMI)
- Symptoms of excessive length: signal attenuation, blurring, ghosting, color shift.
Resolution & Refresh Rate
- Supported modes depend on:
- SP5040 output settings (OS/BIOS)
- Monitor's maximum capability
- "Out of Range" or black screen solutions:
- Boot into Safe Mode
- Use lower resolution/refresh rate
- Check legacy monitor limitations (1080p may not be supported)
Maintenance
- Clean connectors with compressed air or lint-free cloth if experiencing:
- Flickering display
- Intermittent signal
- Always power off devices before cleaning.
